It's 1974, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder is preparing to make yet another one of his films. Provocative and enigmatic as always, he blurs and confuses all roles within this artistic object — actors who are also directors, who are also screenwriters, who are also producers and second assistant directors, etc. — in a production that rejects the paternalistic and hierarchical structure of society. The SillySeason collective, acting as a kind of “rehearsal engine,” thus celebrates not 50 years of a regime, but rather one more of the historic outcries for the fundamental right to love.

SillySeason is an artistic collective, formed in 2012 by Cátia Tomé, Ivo Saraiva e Silva, and Ricardo Teixeira, with the mission of constantly searching for new creation models in the fields of theatre and performing arts.
