1980. Isabel do Carmo and Carlos Antunes are convicted for terrorist activity — part of the historical context of armed resistance in Portugal, responsible for acts that caused harm and significant political tension. At dawn, Dália escapes an aggressive client on Rua das Pretas and inadvertently gets into a police car. She is taken to Monsanto, where she is sexually assaulted and beaten. She is a sex worker and a trans woman. Freedom never truly arrived for her. It is also for this reason that she once blew up cars and robbed banks with the Revolutionary Brigades. In her cell, her disenchanted manifesto of utopia turns into a musical when Kate Bush appears for a visit.
