They have nothing to lose. They're tired of spinning their wheels. They can't stop thinking about the climate, the end of the world, the end of themselves. They actually care about a lot of things, but they want us to think that they don't care that much. Nobody takes them seriously. They are the new Cassandras, like the prophetess of Greek mythology, but they live at the end of the train track. They want to tell the world that we're going in the wrong direction, but the world runs them over on the way there and back. And like Cassandra, they still have to lie down with the enemy.

What can they do to get out of this mess? A demonstration with terrorism mixed in? Razing works of art to get people's attention? Or maybe it's better to steal a priceless painting and go live large in the Maldives? Maybe they'll just give it all up and sell handicrafts to tourists in the Algarve. They have nothing to lose. They are BANDITS.
