In a suspended time, two bodies can be heard in exchange. Drop after drop, the gesture of their dissidente corporeities echoes in a space - ressonances of a dialogue of giving and receiving. With each exhale, the tension of sweating. With the throb of each pulse, the softening of containment.

The performance O Permuto is born from the poetic dialogues between Ângelo Custódio and Daniel Moraes. Both artists investigate the embodiment that intersects the déficit, failure and deviation. By intertwining the disciplinary lines of voice, drawing and sport, experiences of (dis)ability overflow. Their experiences reveal subjective traces that question straight and linear orientations.

O Permuto brings an intimate and strangely familiar environment where gesture and voice have their own diagonal dialectic. The audience is immersed in a dramaturgy of attunement and invited to drift during the performance.

Ângelo Custódio (1983, PT) is an artist that lives and works in Amsterdam, NL. Ângelo Custódio is a researcher, artist and performer experimenting with voice, writing and sound. He creates sonic based experiences from a crip~queer perspective, informed by critical theory and embodied knowledge. Trained as a classical singer, Angelo explores the relations between poetics and different techno-somatic ways of voicing. Ângelo facilitates processes that hold space for regenerative movement and nourish relational understandings of the bodymindvoice, with a focus on the systemic failures towards alternative corporealities. Through listening, he develops sonic encounters with the vulnerable, opening ’cracks’ to wild(er) spaces that utterly invite freer ecologies of living.

+ https://www.danielmoraesss.com.br/
