AMINA is based on Manuel da Fonseca's book Cerromaior, which broke with traditional narrative and brought issues of inequality and oppression into the literary context. With an intergenerational and intercultural team, working from this book means looking at the disparities of the present to imagine an imaginary city on the South Bank, on the outskirts of the centres of power, inhabited by increasingly diverse people, but united by the common factor of capitalist oppression.
