(Des-)Guia Turístico(-Cultural) @ Montemor-o-Novo: 2024-27 will be, first and foremost, whatever it turns out to be. It is expected to result in a printed publication, with an online version as well. However, it may also evolve into a series of anti-tours offered to the local population, but everything will be decided through living in the territory and encounters with its people.

Therefore, it could become a kind of artistic-cultural guide, more subjective and humanist, focusing on the infra-ordinary—that which escapes our everyday gaze or is hidden by the media and mass tourist guides. Like the coin lost between the couch cushions, it will highlight what often goes unnoticed.

In short: "All this and much more..."

Casal Boss is the new identity of the artistic and romantic duo composed by Filipa Brito & Nelson Guerreiro (formerly known as VaiVém from 2013 to 2023). Artistically, they are a reversible and fluid pair, creating transdisciplinary projects while embracing their role as lovers of crossing artistic boundaries. They are unruly and their artistic practices often occur unexpectedly and in an indelible way, sometimes without self-awareness or prior communication of their occurrence, culminating in a kind of onanism as they become spectators of themselves. At times, these gestures are perceived as artistic interventions by those they encounter in various contexts, indiscriminately.

This closeness or distance does not provoke discomfort for them, as they are not driven by the strategic or compulsive desire for immortality or legacy.

One member of the duo even suffers from the loss of something no one else knows about.

They explore the primal binary of art(s) and life(s). This duo is propelled by the will to enjoy each other's presence and delve deeply into time. For now, there is nothing more to declare.
