Beatriz Soares Dias (France, 1995) is a choreographer, dancer and performer. In 2015 she finished her degree from Escola Superior de Dança and in 2016 FOR Dance Theater – Companhia Olga Roriz. In 2019 she felt the urgency to start creating and premiered her first solo “MUSCULUS” at the INTERFERÊNCIAS Festival, support for artistic creation and residency at Companhia Olga Roriz, with a tour of several festivals in Portugal, followed by the solo “NEON 80” premiered at CCB’s blackbox in 2021. The continuous transformations and consequent rediscoveries as a person in the relationship with her own body and her surroundings have been the triggers for the creation of her projects. The need to create allied with the will of personal and artistic affirmation, having as starting points concepts such as transformation, freedom, empowerment, intimacy and resistance. She has collaborated with artists such as Miguel Rosado Moreira, Tiago Rodrigues, Companhia Olga Roriz, André de Campos, Wbmotion Kulturverein, Tamara Cubas, Maurícia | Neves, Albano Jerónimo, Diana de Sousa, Teatro do Mar, Filipe Baptista, Bruno Alexandre, Francisca Manuel, André Uerba and Mariana Magalhães. Currently integrates the teaching team of FOR Dance Theatre, having as general interest the reconfiguration of artistic practices in the educational area as generating powers of change, listening, proximity and manifest.
