After two years of interregnum, due to contingencies known to all, the Coral de São Domingos returns to Espaço do Tempo for another Kings’ Concert. Works from various latitudes will be executed, in a welcoming gesture to the new year, believing in the power of art and in the change it can operate in all of us.

The choir of São Domingos was established in 1987, in Montemor-o-Novo, by João Luís Nabo. They participated in many tours through Beligum (1992); Italy (1993); Spain (1993, 1994, 1996, 1998 1999, 2000 and 2005); France (1996 and 2004); Bulgaria (1998); Madeira (1999); Poland (2000); Sweden (2001). In 1995, they participated in the “31ères Rencontres Chorales Internationales de Montreux”, Switzerland, one of the most prestigious and applauded music competitions for choirs, at an European and worldwide level. They joined many television and radio shows, such as Portuguese channel RTP and International RDP (1992). They have also participated in dozens of choir and festival meetings in Portugal.
From their extensive repertoire there are popular and erudite pieces included, of sacred and profane origin, both national and foreign, from the most diverse eras and schools. The singers have given their body and voice to this choir and they are all based in Montemor-o-Novo. Despite being from the most diverse professions, they all continue to find in this group a personal and collective fulfillment and belonging.
