Assault the Vaults excavates the layers of time: from the origins of life on Earth to the present-day panoptic era of digital surveillance. The powers that be shape memory and erase the histories of bodies, voices, and cooperation.
Fabulating between history and myth, this assault on tombs and vaults travels to where the first symbiotic bacteria dwell; to Neolithic societies without war; to gods and borders; to sirens that shipwreck colonialism; to mourners who ritualise collective grief. What have we inherited? And what has been imposed upon us? We will return to the present with a history of life and solidarity, rather than a history of power. This is a political and spiritual hack for bodies numbed in the face of today’s genocides, extractivism, and violence.
