Anna Gaïotti, a French choreographer, performer, and artist, was at O Espaço do Tempo with the project Rage, in a co-production with the Institut français du Portugal, as part of the MaisFrança program*. Gaïotti was in the XL Box for an artistic residency with the rest of the team, which included Clément De Boever, Léo Dupleix, Jean Bender, Sonia Soraya, and Edouard Sufrin. The residency also featured an open rehearsal for the public on July 12th.
Inspired by La Rabbia, by Pier Paolo Pasolini (1963), Rage reflects on the image and movement of rage, examining the body in apparent states of emergency and transforming them into both elusive moments and objects or subjects of terrifying beauty. What image can represent rage? And what movements are inspired by the word "rage"?
