Exile – Place of Smoke is a creation by Miguel Moreira, developed in collaboration with Romeu Runa, exploring themes of displacement, isolation, and resilience. Blending dance, performance, and visual installation, the work incorporates sculptures by Dora Sales, creating a deeply immersive and sensorial experience. Performed and co-created by Beatriz Mira and Cláudia Serpa Soares, the project brings together a multidisciplinary creative team, original music by Bentes (Project Shhh), photography by Helena Gonçalves, and costume design by Susana Abreu.

Founded in 1997, Útero – Associação Cultural is led by its founder, director, choreographer, and performer Miguel Moreira.
