In her trilogy in praise of vulnerability, Teresa Vittucci has been exploring the origins of patriarchal narratives found in the narratives of biblical female figures since 2019. In addition to the biblical figure of the Virgin Mary in the solo HATE ME, TENDER and the original figure and mother of original sin Eve in the duet DOOM, the third and final part of the trilogy deals with the figure of evil par excellence: Satan, a dazzling figure of our cultural history.

In a queer feminist rereading of this dreaded figure, the familiar narratives and images that have so vehemently urged us to be cautious throughout history will be questioned and abstracted. Who is this embodiment of evil? And perhaps more importantly, who decides who or what is considered evil?
