Residências em Cena (Scene Residencies) is an artistic research project curated by Pedro Gil and Raquel Castro. It consists of organizing a space and time, on a residency regimen, for theater artists to share their creative processes with each other. Processes that are mostly invisible and manifest themselves in rehearsals behind closed doors or inside our heads. How do you make theater? How was that text, that character, that choreography, that performance, that set design made? What paths lead us to making and how do we do it? This residency was born out of the desire to question and reflect on our way of doing things, based on other people's ways of doing things.
