The band primeira desordem seeks to exist as a metamorphic alter-ego that influences and is simultaneously influenced by the artistic work of the homonymous duo. The residency proposal at O Espaço do Tempo aims to deepen this conceptual parallelism through the creation of the band's first EP, working with self-reference and self-reciprocity as a musical universe. Through an experimental approach, they seek to find a sonic identity that explores themes of autobiography, personality and fiction.

primeira desordem is a multidisciplinary project by Hugo Gomes (Lisbon, PT) and João Marques (Lisbon, PT) that explores the fictional potential of visual, political and social structures. Working with a variety of media – sculpture, video, installation, performance, music, poetry and crime – the artistic process is embraced as an ironic, self-constructed language. Hugo Gomes has a degree (BA) in Visual Arts from Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and was a guest student in Hassan Khan’s class at Stådelschule, Frankfurt am Main. João Marques has a degree (BA) in Visual Arts from Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and studied saxophone at Hot Clube de Portugal, Lisbon.
