Torrente/ Torrent is a poetic documentary performance that evokes the different political ranks and projects of the Portuguese revolution of 1974-75 and beyond.In May 2025 Joana Craveiro will be in O Espaço do Tempo for a research residency around the archive and memory of the Agrarian Reform (redistribution of the land) – a core political project of the Portuguese revolution.

Playwright, director, actor, anthropologist, filmmaker and teacher. Holds a Practice-as-Research PhD by Roe-hampton Univ. Is the artistic director of Teatro do Vestido, a company she founded in 2001. She is the head of the Theatre Course at ESAD.CR. Uses methodologies of oral history and anthropology to investigate and to create theatre pieces and to write different kinds of texts, starting form life stories, archives, and a close observation of reality – both poetic and political.
