Winning project of the 2nd edition of the Creation Grants with the support of BPI and Fundação "la Caixa".

This is a multivoiced show celebrating the beginning of a new century, the farewell to a way of life and the embracing of another future. It takes inspiration from the structure of William Faulkner’s 1929 novel The Sound and the Fury, as well as the path of its character Caddy Compson, to tell a different story. It is also based on cultural critic Mark Fisher’s idea that analyzing the sound of an age we have access to its crises of meaning. Sound is therefore constructed as a narrative driving force, a soundscape for the end of an era: as it emerges, it becomes more prevalent and sets the rhythm while characterizing the new world inhabited by the characters.
