Winning project of Sementeira, the New Creations Grant for Alentejo, an initative promoted by Antípoda A.C., in co-production with O Espaço do Tempo and in partnership / co-production with Alma d’Arame, Centro de Artes do Espetáculo de Portalegre, Pó de Vir a SerUMCOLETIVO e Futurama, as well as the municipalities of Mértola, Portalegre, Serpa and Viana do Alentejo.

a mulher mais forte do mundo (the strongest woman in the world) is a performance that blends contemporary circus and sculpture to explore the relationship between strength, memory, and identity in the female body. Inspired by women in traditional circus, who defied norms by displaying their strength, the artist manipulates stones, transforming them into moving objects.

Through testimonies collected in each location, the show weaves a dialogue between the weight of matter and the weight of the stories it carries, questioning: What does it mean to be strong? Who is, after all, the strongest woman in the world?
