By mixing formality and improvisation, labor and freedom, the theatrical and the casual, Everyday Extraordinary proposes the stage as a space of repetition and possibility, where subject positions become changeable and individual and collective desires and responsibilities are negotiated in real-time.

Through an eclectic approach to codes and styles, the performance layers formal, ceremonial, social, and performative functions of dance alongside moments of stepping out of systems and individuated expression. It speaks to the evolution of dance as a practice that is at once a relational tool, a cultural object, and a means of personal reckoning, becoming, and resistance - a way of thinking and being in the world.

Everyday Extraordinary engages dance and performance as accumulated knowledge that remains open to revision against and with the conditions of the present. This work brings into relief their core reality as physical experience rather than a visual presentation.
