This performance brings together the screening of film excerpts in real time, dramatized scenes centred around this screening, the dismantling of the cinematic and theatrical apparatus, and a party. The proposal is for creators, actors, technicians, and the entire team to be present across the stage, in a continuous movement that will culminate in the stage being completely cleared. The music will be provided by a DJ. This show celebrates the end of 29 years of opening new trails on the contemporary Portuguese theatre scene. It has been 29 years of invention, transformation and resistance, built together with many people. Friends, companions, comrades, stories of love and death – our lives. It is a deliberate ending, and everyone who has ever been part of Cão Solteiro is invited to the party.

André Godinho studied Film at ESTC and Documentary Filmmaking at Les Ateliers Varan. He has directed documentaries, short films, and television series. His latest short film received both the Jury Award and the Audience Award at Queer Lisboa. His first feature film is currently in production.
