cão de sete patas is one of the winning projects of O Espaço do Tempo's Creation Grants, with the support of BPI and Fundação "la Caixa". // Artistic residency integrated in the YEP - Young Emergin Performers program, in partnership with Rua das Gaivotas6.

cão de sete patas (seven-legged dog) stems from the dream of an iconic character in Brazilian marginal cinema. Sônia Silk – played by Helena Ignez – in the film Copacabana Mon Amour (1971) by Rogério Sganzerla dreams of seven-legged dogs, human-animals, and other monsters. The cão de sete patas is a piece that explores the relationship between fiction and documentary, between dream and narrative, between an actress and her character.
