Based in Portugal since 2014. Ana has a Master’s degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Artistic Direction (ESMAE-Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto, PT), a degree in Geology (University of Granada, ES) and a Master in Teaching (University of Coimbra, PT). Her work focuses on research addressing theater, dance, and performance. Between 2011 and 2014, she worked under the direction of Sara Molina, at performance artists residencies in Spain and abroad. She participated as a trainee in the European Festival for young theater directors “Fast Forward” (Germany), in the International Program “SAFE Training” (Poland), and is currently part of the European project I-TALES (Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Lithuania, Hungary, Spain, and Portugal). On a personal level, she has created and directed “PERCAMINHO” (2017; 20th Edition of the Art Biennial of Vila Nova de Cerveira 2018), “Autólise” (SET Festival, Guimarães Noc Noc Festival, and Filhos do T), “FONDO”, recently presented at Armazém 22 in partnership with KALE- Companhia de Dança and with the institutional support of the Garantir Cultura Program and “C_M_8, Cuecas em 8”. With C_M_8, she has been in an artistic residency at Centro Negra_AADK Spain, with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and Teatro Municipal do Porto within the Palcos Instáveis cycle. She recently premiered the performance Água ao Mar o Como esquecer uma Cidade, within the URGE Glookall Fest-Festival de Inéditos, with fellow creator and performer Herlandson Duarte in co-production with Varazim Teatro and the support of the Garantir Cultura Program.
