Winning project of the 2nd edition of Antecipar o Futuro (2023), an initiative supported by Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, NTT DATA and O Espaço do Tempo.

Búzio is an investigation on the dualism “realism” vs. “utopia” in this coastal tourism in our Sunny Portugal. When did it start and how did we get on the world podium? Most of these places survive on seasonality, designed to fulfill a massive idea of “summer vacation” – picturesque, kind of modern, the air filled with the smell of grilled sardines. VERY TYPICAL. But who are we when foreign eyes are not watching us? Where does our identity lie? Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand the present. We have many questions and a few answers, in this attempt to anticipate the future.

We are at risk of drowning. I have a float in the shape of a whelk.
