The starting point is the loss of a loved one and the imperative need to stay in touch with them. There is the need to offer each other not only a space for reunion, but also for reconciliation that allows for goodbye: a space of rest for the deceased, the possibility of mourning for those who remain. La Rose de Jéricho is a play in which we believe in ghosts and their mischievous visitations. We believe in the vibration of their presence in our bodies and psyches. La Rose de Jéricho is a family story between Algeria, France and Portugal: it speaks to our ancestors and to those yet to come. It’s a story of sliding, of mutation, from one body to another, from the past to the future, from the future to the past, from you to me. La Rose de Jéricho is a choreographic and musical trio with Alice Martins and Magda Kachouche, augmented by the presence of the musician Gaspard Guilbert. It's a ball-concert in which we enjoy a colourful, punk waltz with our ghosts.

I am a choreographer, visual artist and performer. In 2022, I founded my performance company, Langue Vivante, in my hometown of Beauvais (Northern France). The Langue Vivante company dedicates itself to creating choreographic works for indoor and outdoor spaces, staging artistic objects and performances made by and for the people. The company strives to become a research laboratory for all individuals, artists and non-artists. I want to promote a creative process anchored in territories and time, to collect words and voices, gestures and dances, and create visual landscapes to make the hidden visible.
