There is something peculiar in French music that transports us to soundscapes of indescribable expression, delicacy and lightness. In this concert by the Orquestra Clássica Metropolitana, some of the composers who left their mark on the History of Music, in the era of Impressionism, are here included, although many of them rejected such a link.

Metropolitana is a non-profit cultural institution established in March 1992 with the aim of promoting and teaching classical music. It manages one professional orchestra – the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa – and three schools – the National Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies (higher education), the Metropolitana’s Conservatory of Music (primary and secondary levels) and the Metropolitana’s Professional School (integrated education).
