O Espaço do Tempo, Cineteatro Louletano and Centro Cultural Vila Flor are launching the 4th edition of Projecto Casa, a support programme for artistic creation in the field of performing arts. The programme includes two long-term residencies as well as their respective pre-premieres, world premiere, and subsequent presentation. Each grant, totalling €25,000, includes a residency of approximately seven weeks at O Espaço do Tempo, a one-week residency in a rehearsal and work space, and one week for setup and rehearsals at the venue where the piece will have its world premiere.
Projecto Casa aims to stimulate creation in the fields of dance, theatre, performance and crossover, and to contribute to the sustainable development of artists' careers in these areas.
As in previous editions, two projects will be selected to take place in 2026. The first, focused on theatre or cross-disciplinary practices, will premiere at the Gil Vicente Festivals, at Centro Cultural Vila Flor, on June 5, 2026. The second, centred on dance or cross-disciplinary practices, will premiere at Cineteatro Louletano on September 18, 2026.
The jury, belonging to the three partner institutions of Projecto Casa, are Pedro Barreiro and Patrícia Carvalho from O Espaço do Tempo, Rui Torrinha and Marta Silva from Centro Cultural Vila Flor / A Oficina; and Paulo Silva and Dália Paulo, from Cineteatro Louletano.
Applications are open until 11:59 pm on May 30, 2025 June 2, 2025 (Deadline extended), Continental Portugal time. All applications submitted after the deadline will not be analyzed.
Applicants with finalist projects must ensure availability for an online interview by members of the support program jury, on July 3rd or July 4th, 2025.
The results will be communicated to candidates by email and publicly published on the websites of O Espaço do Tempo, Cineteatro Louletano and Centro Cultural Vila Flor, on July 8th, 2025.
