The Dance Dissemination Office (Oficina de Difusión de la Danza – ODD) of the INAEM – Spanish Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the creative centre La Caldera and O Espaço do Tempo, launches the first edition of ANCHO, a residency programme offering mentorship and professional guidance in distribution and internationalisation for professionals working with contemporary dance created in Spain. This is a pioneering initiative and the first programme of its kind to be developed in Spain.
ANCHO is conceived as a space for professional exchange, reflection and support, aimed at people working in areas such as distribution, cultural management and the internationalisation of dance projects. The programme offers a practical and strategic approach to international development, responding to the specific needs of each participant while fostering sustainable models of growth rooted in their local contexts.
The residency will combine analytical sessions, meetings with specialised professionals, and opportunities for dialogue with programmers, cultural managers, artistic residency organisations and representatives of international platforms. Participants will also receive mentorship from professionals with extensive experience in the internationalisation of the performing arts. Those selected will receive a grant of €2,650, and the residency will take place within the international context of O Espaço do Tempo.
The first mentorship and professional support residency dedicated to distribution, conceived by Marta Oliveres together with leading professionals from the sector, will take place from 17 to 21 August 2026.
