Gerbert Verheij

Kitchen

Gerbert Verheij studied sculpture and art history in Lisbon and Barcelona, specializing in the history of urban design. After finishing his degree he moved to rural Montemor-o-Novo and said goodbye to the academic world and the years of studying cities. He has worked with several local projects – Cooperativa Integral Minga, Oficinas do Convento, the local currency MOR, among others – but mostly devoted himself to paternity, gardening, trees and building. He has worked a bit throughout the entire food chain of vegetables, from seeding to cooking, providing him with enough proximity and experience to take on the challenge of managing the kitchen of O Espaço do Tempo.
