Anabela Ramos Monteiro (b. 1989) began her BA in Theatre at the University of Évora at the age of 32, graduating in 2025. Prior to her academic training, she had already gained experience through amateur theatre groups and community cultural associations in Lisbon, alongside an extensive professional background in customer service. During her studies, she collaborated on several projects, notably serving as Head of Production for the first and second editions of the éVORAZ Festival (School of Arts, University of Évora), and participating in "Age Against the Machine – Intergenerational Solidarity Network Against Ageism", a project co-funded by the European Commission, presented nationally and internationally, of which she remains an active member. She has also taken part in several academic productions under the guidance of professors Ana Tamen, Isabel Bezelga, Pedro Paulo Alves Pereira, Rolando Galhardas and Vítor Lemos.

Professionally, she volunteered at PT.23 – Portuguese Platform for Performing Arts / O Espaço do Tempo, provided technical support at the 26th Setúbal International Theatre Festival, and worked in production support and later as executive producer for the third and fourth editions of the Rascunho Festival / Antípoda a.C., respectively. Alongside these roles, she collaborated on educational projects at the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation and attended numerous workshops led by artists such as Matteo Bonfitto, Romeu Costa, Amândio Anastácio, Patrick Murys and Pepa Macua. In September 2025, she participated in the workshop and performance "Audible Movement, Visible Sound – Real-Time Composition", led by Mark Tompkins and Nuno Rebelo. Until 2027, she is actively involved in "Voz Comum", a participatory project facilitated by artist Tó Zé Bexiga in collaboration with several schools in Évora and funded by the Évora_27 – European Capital of Culture.
