The Precárias Festival returns for its third edition, and this year the theme revolves around possible childhoods — an invitation to explore childhood in its various possibilities, rethinking the future and fostering spaces for dialogue and exchange.

Bright Horses is a dance piece for six performers — three sets of twin siblings — that uses internal and family dynamics to critically reflect on competition in today’s capitalist society.

Our grandmothers, they sang stories and I am a storyteller, laundress of my own clothing. In this process of washing, we can wash the pain that we carry as a collective that is suffering in its sleep.

As part of the Ulisses project, the Terceira Pessoa collective challenges the artist Bernardo Chatillon to think about the 4th chapter of Ulisses, by James Joyce, from which the show Calipso ou a A Experiência do Possível results.

What is it to be a citizen? To “belong” to a land e only have the right to exercise your citizenship there? Where is “my” land? And “yours”, where is it? Who or what has the power to define where someone’s land is? Is it possible to locate the beginning of any story?

Onyx is an oneiric ritual of void and presence, the pause before chaos and chaos itself. It blurs the boundaries between intervention and dream, in the construction of metaphors loaded with silence, noise, non-linear information, weight and the fluctuation of time.
